Boarding schools
Staying at a good English boarding school is not cheap, and costs about 5000 to 7000 GBP per term, but for this price an excellent education is offered. 
Small classes with individual support by a tutor and a house-master as well as young, motivated teachers are just some of the factors that contribute to giving English boarding schools the edge over German schools. The students feel that they belong together, and problems with integration are much rarer.
Sports and participation in study groups are considered very important. Team spirit and character training are encouraged at these schools.
For most German students (quite often only children) this new form of living, where tolerance and considerateness are required, means a motivational push that can change the rest of their lives. They make long-lasting, and often lifelong, international friendships. Last but not least, progress in ability with the English language is an important factor!

Of course the main reason for visiting this school is to improve English language skills und to achieve good results in the chosen subjects. A lot of support is given, because teachers stay in permanent contact and give constant feedback regarding performance and success. I was never as motivated in school before. My conclusion after one year in England: I want to stay for a second year and finish secondary school in England.

Alexandra enjoyed her stay very much. She even had fun learning and became very ambitious. It was very hard indeed for her to leave her new friends and the school. We can now say that it was the right decision to send our two daughters to England. We would like to thank you for your effort in finding the right school for us. It was no problem for Silke and Alexandra to return to year 12 in Germany even though they had skipped year 11 because of their stay in England.
